He was employed as a teacher with Kinder Day Care and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, both in Nashville. He was a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Henry Simmons, and Barbara Ball. Survivors include his mother, Gladys Ball; father, Gerald Ball, Sr.; grandfather, James Ball, all of Chattanooga; brother, Shane Allen of Paducah, KY; sisters, Tiffany Lamb, Shawna Clark, both of Chattanooga, Taloundria Ball of Knoxville, and Divivica Wade of Paducah; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Michael Wade as the eulogist.
Burial: Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
