Mr. Carl Cranston Bailey, Sr., 70, of Asheville, NC. died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Solace on the campus of Care Partners in Asheville, NC.

Born in Wilson County, NC; he was raised in Petersburg, VA. where he attended public schools. He graduated from Peabody High School in 1967, and then served in the U.S. Air Force before being honorably discharged in 1975. After relocating to Asheville to be with his late wife, Edith Moses Bailey, he attended Western Carolina University, where he studies accounting. He held positions at Ball, Inc., Gerber Food Products in Asheville; and Barkley Mills, Kimberly-Clark in Hendersonville, NC.

In addition of his wife, Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Bailey and Deloris Norfleet Bailey.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert Lee Winstead of Maryland; Robert Wade of Georgia; his children and a host of nieces and nephews.
