Opal Mae Hamrick, 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Fairview Living Center in Centreville, Michigan. She was born in Wabash, IN to the late Nathan and Mabel Marie Bricker. Opal graduated from Central High School in 1943. She married James Leon Hamrick Sr. on April 3, 1948 in Columbia City, IN and he preceded her in death. She was a life-long member of the Order of Easter Star and Madonna Club. Opal enjoyed swimming, bowling, and meeting her friends for lunch. She is survived by her son, James L. Hamrick Jr.; daughters, Cathy L. Savieo and Patricia Greene; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Bricker. Funeral service Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes Covington Knolls with calling from 12:00 am to 1:00pm prior to the service.
