Richard Boyd Ulmer, 63, of Willow Street passed away on Tuesday afternoon, January 15, 2019, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, PA. Rich was born on January 2, 1956 and was the son of Dorothy L. (Boyd) Ulmer and the late Phares W. Ulmer Jr.

Rich was a 1974 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School. He loved nature and being outdoors. An avid fisherman, he loved spending his free time on his boat at the river and fishing trips to the Chesapeake Bay. He also enjoyed looking for arrowheads and listening to Rock and Roll music. Rich was passionate about conserving and protecting the environment.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister Joanne, wife of Vic Kally.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice and Community Care for the care and compassion they provided.

Services will be private and interment will take place at Smithville Church of God, New Providence, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rich's memory to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
