Ruby Crawford, age 84, of McLeod, Texas went to be with the Lord Monday, January 14, 2019 in a Tyler, Texas hospital.

Ruby was born April 28, 1934 in Cass County, Texas to E.C. and Rose Anna Long. She was a lifelong seamstress and was retired from McLeod Tabernacle as the church secretary where she was a member. She was also a member of the McLeod ISD School Board from 1979 to 2000. She enjoyed spending time sewing and being at church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nolan Long, H.P. Long; and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna McKnight and husband Charles of McLeod, Texas, Cathy Malone and husband Robert of Tioga, Louisiana, Jo Ann Pitts and husband Randall of Duncan, Oklahoma; two brothers, William Long of Augusta, South Carolina, Rev. Lindsay Long of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Bessie Solomon of Axtel, Texas, Anna Edwards of Marshall, Texas; eight grandchildren, James, Carrie, Billy, Steven, Amber, Bobby, Bethany, Braden; twenty great-grandchildren, Adam, Cody, Morgan, Brenden, Harper, Bradley, Bailey, Reagan, Duncan, Isaac, Ella, Jace, Jonathan, Catie, Jude, Bryce, River, Falynn, Brianna, Tyler; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 18, 2019 at the McLeod Tabernacle, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Pastor J.P. Story, Pastor Randall Pitts, Pastor Joe Shaw and Rev. Lindsay Long officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at McLeod Tabernacle.

Interment will be in Good Exchange Cemetery.

Those wishing to memorialize Ruby in lieu of flowers may make contributions to McLeod Tabernacle, P. O. Box 93, McLeod, Texas 75565.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Karen, Wayne, Randy, James and Kathy Dees with Jordan Home Health, and to the nursing staff of Trinity Mother Frances Health Care, Tyler Texas for the excellent care given to their mother.
