Services for Thomas Melton, 38, of Houston, formerly of Kilgore will be 4:00 pm Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Highland Park Baptist Church with Reverend Riley Pippen officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Melton died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Thomas was born June 2, 1980 in Kilgore to Jimmy and Linda Melton. He was a 1998 graduate of Kilgore High School. Thomas was a computer programmer and IT specialist and was currently employed by NetSync. Thomas’s greatest joy was his son Keegan. Their days were filled with walks in the park, reading Keegan’s favorite books and watching Keegan discover something new every day. Being Keegan’s father was the most rewarding and precious part of Thomas’s life.

He is survived by his son, Keegan Melton of Houston; mother, Linda Melton of Kilgore; father, Jimmy Melton and his wife, Carla of Palestine; grandmother, Jean Melton of Kilgore; sisters, Melissa Marcott of Kilgore, Meredith Greenway and her husband, George of Sulphur Springs; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Highland Park Baptist Church from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
