Donna R. Reeves, 81, a lifetime Miami resident passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her home. She was born on June 22, 1937 to William Fred and Thelma (Jarnigan) Seamon.
After graduating from Miami High School she attended and graduated from NEO A&M College where she was a Norse Star and was very proud of that. She then went on attain her Bachelor’s Degree from Pitt State University. She worked at First National Bank, Security Bank then worked at Wal-Mart for twenty-one years. She was a genealogy buff, who wrote many books of Cemetery history and family tree books. She was active in the Genealogical Society; she enjoyed being active in the PTA, being a Girl Scout Leader and sharing her research with the Dobson Museum.
Donna was preceded in passing by her parents Fred and Thelma Seamon and her brother Gary Wayne Seamon.
Surviving Donna are her children William Parks Reeves of Miami, Carol Biggs of Miami and Kathy Jo Oakley and her husband Stacy of Afton, a brother Dale Seamon of Miami, her grandchildren Ryan Reeves and Pam Dixon, Trey Reeves, Samantha Biggs, Jennifer Biggs and Hayden Biggs, along with her great grandchildren James Reeves, Coben Reeves, Blake Biggs, Sami Jo Carlin and Regan Scrivo.
Graveside services are 10:00 AM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami with Mr. Tom Allen officiating.
