Glenda T. Kelly, age 74, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday October 25, 2018.

She was born on April 5, 1944 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Glenda moved to Kingsville in November 1953. She graduated from H.M. King High School in 1962, and on July 20 of that same year married the love of her life, Winston R. Kelly, Sr. After starting a family with the birth of Winston Jr. in 1963, and Kathy in 1965, she returned to school, and graduated in 1974 from Texas A&I with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. In 1981 she graduated from Texas A&I with her Master's Degree Education Administration.

Glenda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest passion was her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sports activities, always supporting them as they played football, baseball, volleyball, or sang in the choir. She loved playing dominos at her kitchen table while making another pot of coffee for whoever came over to sit down and visit. Her smile and dark brown eyes will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Winston R. Kelly, Sr.

Glenda is survived by her son, Winston R. (Jennifer) Kelly, Jr. of Lubbock, Texas; her daughter, Kathrine Kelly Mann (Steve) of Boerne, Texas; grandsons, Jeffery (Erin) Quillin, Jr of Boerne, Texas, and Andrew Quillin of Kingsville, Texas; granddaughter, Kendell Quillin of Georgetown, Texas; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Cooper Quillin; dear friend, Betsy Florence of Kingsville, Texas; and three sisters, Martha Berkshire (Jan) of Indiana, Alyce Welch of New Jersey, and Judia Roberts of Austin, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.

If you would like to remember Glenda, please do so by donating to your favorite charity that supports children. She loved school, and felt like it was a safe place for vulnerable children to find peace and safety.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
