Eulalia Jensen Nielsen, 89, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019. She was born Ogden, Utah, on April 19, 1929 to Gordon W. and Lydia Bingham Jensen. She lived the first couple of years in Salt Lake City before moving to Ogden where she attended Lincoln Elementary, Mount Fort Jr. High, and graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1947,

She married Quinten R. Nielsen on September 30, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were able to enjoy 53 years together before Quinten’s passing on January 2, 2002.

Eulalia was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully with love and devotion as Primary President, MIA, Roadshow Drama Director, teacher, and trekker leader. She made music fun and a live, she loved her music, and enjoyed serving as chorister and choir director.

She worked as a stenographer for the Navy Dept., worked in the Ogden Depot Laundry, and retired from IRS after 30 plus years of service.

She played the violin from a young age with her family in orchestras, at funerals, and in church. She was an avid reader, skillful seamstress, loved to crochet, and was an excellent cook.

Eulalia is survived by her son, Scott Q. Nielsen of Clinton, UT; daughters, Kristine (Gerald) Knowles of Idaho Falls, ID, Susan (Charles) Linford of Morgan, UT; Penny (Bryce) Sessions of Washington Terrace, UT; and Amy (Jac) Williams of Taggart, UT; 27 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, William Burnell (Linda) Jensen of North Ogden, UT; and sister, Constance (Connie) Nielsen of Ogden, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinten R. Nielsen; parents, Gordon and Lida Jensen; and brother, Gordon Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 7th Ward Chapel, 4855 South 300 West. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
