Mr. Brantley was born in Oconee, the son of the late Charles Brantley Sr. and the late Willie Mae Salter Hartley. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and spent his working career as an appliance repair person. He was affiliated with the Church of God and had a passion for fishing.
