Janet Alves Watson, 67, of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
She was born in Norwich, CT to Gladys Ralls Alves and the late Anthony Arthur Alves, on July 30, 1950.
Janet served as a Senior Administrative Assistant at both Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale University for over 30 years before recently retiring in June.
Janet's life focused on love, faith, and caring, she greeted everyone she encountered with a warm smile and elegant grace.

Janet is survived by her husband Tad Watson; son, Jason Watson; daughter, Nicole Jones (Richard); mother, Gladys Alves; sister, Valerie Alexander (Louis); and brother-in-law, Joseph Watson (Helene).

A celebration of her life took place at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, New Haven.
Interment was at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
