Kathryn Stephens, 85, formally of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007, at a North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ann Hitt officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the funeral home.
Kathryn was born in Riesel, Texas, to the late James M. and Jessie Grace (Smith) Hurst. She owned and operated H & S Dry Cleaners in Lacy Lakeview for several years and was a member of the New Braunfels Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dawson Stephens, in 1975; an infant daughter. Cathy; a great-grandson; four brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Perot, of Manchaca, Texas, and Sondra Mickan and her husband, Robert, of Austin; grandsons, Ricky and Ronnie Mickan, of Austin; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Hurst, of West; brother-in-law, Charles Stephens, of Waco; and many nieces and nephews.
