Gerald S. Nash, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Gerald was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on November 5, 1932 to Ewell Ray Nash and Wilma Stevens Nash. He attended Decatur Boys High School in Decatur, Georgia and graduated in 1950.

After high school, Gerald served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. On September 4, 1959 he married Nina Sue Madill Nash in Dade City, FL. Gerald worked for Bellsouth Company in Dunwoody, GA for 36 years, he then retired and spent most of his time with his beloved grandchildren. Gerald enjoyed his long days on the golf course and cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Aubrey Ray Nash. Gerald is survived by his wife, Nina Nash of 59 years; daughter, Nina Sue Casillo; son, Gerald S. Nash, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Dr. Ashley L. Nash; son, Richard Ashley Nash; granddaughters, Chelsea Coeburn, Kailee and Rebeka Casillo, and Ansley Nash; grandson, Hogan Lee Nash; great-grandchildren, Carson Marquez, Callie and Luke Wilson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. Gerald took great pride in his family and taught his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to love family, be a Bulldog Fan, and to be thankful. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel; visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
