Fredrick L. Martin, 95, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his residence. He was born June 19, 1923, in Mason, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Mary Henderson Martin. He was a graduate of Mason High School, and was a member of North Side Christian Church. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served as a paratrooper during World War II. He retired in 1979 as an aircraft mechanic at WPAFB. He is survived by his wife, Una K. (Williams) Martin, a daughter-in-law, Celia (Kay) Martin, granddaughters, Gina Marie (Bill) Hassan and Kimberly K. Bowen, a great-grandson, Austin Lewis Williamson, by many nieces and nephews, and by many close relatives, including his pet cat, Percilla. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ned L. Martin, three sisters, Edna Jones, Dorothy Bernhart, and Ruby Martin, and by two brothers, Tom Martin and Charles Martin. Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, January 22, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Jay Russell officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30am Tuesday until service time. Burial will be in Silvercreek Township Cemetery.
