Scott Joseph Dodd, 62, of Springfield, died at 12:32 pm, Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born January 21, 1956 in Springfield, IL.
Survivors include his mother; two brothers; nine sisters; 30 nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Monroe Dodd and infant brother, John Charles Dodd.
Scott was a lifelong Springfield resident. He enjoyed reading, was an avid bike rider, a die hard Cubs fan and a friend to many.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Parish in Springfield. A Celebration of Life will be held later along with the Inurnment at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
