Homer A. "Coach" Adams, age 82 of Tullahoma, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Whirlwind, West Virginia on June 10, 1936 to the late Owen and Lucille (Robertson) Adams. Before his retirement, Homer was employed by the Moore County Board of Education as principal of Moore County High School and had previously been the principal of Huntsville High School. He had coached many student athletes in football, basketball, and baseball at Huntland High School and Randolph School in Huntsville. Homer was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan and Alabama Football fan, and he cheered for all University of West Virginia sports. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Adams. Homer is survived by his children, Daphne Lynn Hudgins of Tullahoma; Sam A. (Joanne) Adams of Tabernash, Colorado; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Porter, James Hudgins, Lilly Adams, Caleb Adams, and Brittany Adams; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday, January 21, 2019 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
