Essayist, writer, literaturist, head of the Hungarian Literary Association. He often criticised the conservative literature from the view of the bourgeois humanism. His famous works are: "Utas és holdvilág", a "Pendragon legenda", "Gondolatok a könyvtárban". Because he was jewish, he was in labor service many times, and he was assaulted, and killed in the labor camp of Balf (beaten until death with a rifle butt).
