HAMPTON - Brandon Tyler Bennett was born on January 1, 1998 and was called home on October 13, 2017. Brandon is survived by his Mother, Deana Kay Barker and her husband, Robby Barker; a brother CJ Smith who adored him, his "Paw Paw" Danny Bennett; his Mamaw" Debbie Bennett, his soulmate Erica Rhinehart, along with a group of many other family members, friends and people whose lives he touched along the way. Brandon was a free spirit, musical prodigy, talented dancer and very caring person who could do anything he put his mind to. He was always there for those he loved and those who needed him. Being the amazing person he was, on October 13, 2017, Brandon received a call from the Lord Jesus Christ, for an assignment from which he will not be returning. He was needed to do bigger things on a much bigger stage. His new assignment comes with huge benefits, a reunion with his grandmother, "Nana" Kay Bohannon, along with other family and friends he has not seen in a long time; and it comes with 100 percent guaranteed happiness for eternity. His new assignment takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, dancing, playing guitar and imposing his overall love and talents among other amazing souls. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. He insists his mother, brother, girlfriend and grandparents along with everyone else he touched, celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed. We want to let him know that he did a great job of making an everlasting impression on us while he was here and wish him a safe and glorious journey until we can get our own call to join him. We will remember his smile, his warmth, his energy, and his love for life. The song for Brandon here has ended, but the melody lingers in a wonderful place he now calls home. Join us in a memorial service for Brandon on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 7 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669.
