James was a excellent carpenter he build some of the Shottville church and also builded coffins for the people around shottsville and bexar area ,He also was a School teacher at a all black school Ada Hanna School ,He work as a Prison guard in Marion County . He move to Adrian Mich were he work at Bill Jenkins car wash and on the weekend played music in Bill Jenkins Bar . My Grandpa was a very strong man he would have games with my brothers he put his finger on the end of his nose and tell them to pull it off no matter how hard they pulled lol they couldn't do it . He was very good to us kids he would fill his pockets with different things and tell us to pick a pocket we could have what was in it sometime it be fruit,money,candy , toy . I miss my Grandpa very much .
