Terry Patrick Mason, 57, of Coal City passed away, December 21, 2017.
He was born in Beckley, WV to the late Clyde Mason and Margaret Mason.
Terry graduated from Independence High School and later earned a B.S. in Nursing from Bluefield State College.
He served as a healthcare professional for over 30 years--most recently at the V. A. Medical Center in Beckley, WV.
Terry was known by colleagues and patients alike for his extensive medical knowledge and compassionate caregiving. Those closest to Terry often referred to him as the "Gentle Giant" because of his tender heart.
His greatest pleasure came from spending time with family and friends.
Terry is survived by his mother, Margaret Mason of Coal City; a brother, Michael Mason, and wife, Tresia, of Coal City; a sister, Pamela Combs, and husband, Eddie, of Coal City; a sister, Sheila Lilly, and husband, Ken, of Beckley; a nephew, Derek Combs; nieces, Leigh Ann Mason and Hannah Lilly; and a treasury of dear friends.

A service honoring Terry's life will be held at 12pm on December 26, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Ken Lilly officiating.
Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
