She was born April 23, 1923, to Josephine (Schmidt) and Nicholas Blaskoski in Park Falls.
Marion was the second-oldest child in a family of seven children: Gene, Mardell (Florence), Norman, Harris, Helen and Robert. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Park Falls in 1940.
Marion then moved to Chicago, IL, where she worked as a telephone operator until 1943, at which time she married Robert D. Schroeder Sr. Together, they had four children.
In 1969, following a career in the Air Force, Bob retired with Marion in Spokane.
Bob preceded her in death in 1978.
Marion was devoted to volunteer work at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Spokane for over 30 years. Marion enjoyed traveling, especially cruises.
Marion is survived by her children, Pamela, Robert Jr. (Judy), Rebecca, and Barbara (David); grandchildren, Dale, Christopher, Kara, Teresa, Daniel, Nicole, Matthew, Hailey, Annelise, Delaney and Toren; great-grandchildren, Kanoa, Evangeline, Caleb and Demiya; and sisters, Helen Johns and Mardell.
Interment was at Fairmount Memorial Park.
