Dorothy Deaton Harmon, 89 of Vernon, Texas died on Friday, January 11, 2019, in Vernon, Texas.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Vernon Baptist Church under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home Officiating will be Rev. Gary Chapman.
Dorothy was born Monday, November 18, 1929 in Paris, Texas; she was the daughter of the late George E. Tompkins and the late Irene Mann Tompkins. She was married to T. Clark Deaton he preceded her in death she later married Earl Harmon he preceded her in death. She owned and operated a day care and she worked for Vernon Manufacturing Co. She was a homemaker.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Russell Deaton of Hugo, OK, daughter, Kathy Hickerson of Wichita Falls, TX, two sisters, Anna Evans of Plainview, TX and Martha Propes of Vernon, TX; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son Tommy Clark Deaton July of 2018, one grandchild Andy Hickerson, several brothers and sisters. She is also preceded in death by her special friend Wesley Long.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm till service time at Vernon Baptist Church.
