Patricia M. Schroeder, 68, of Fifield, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Our House, Platteville.
A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held at the Greenfield School in Fifield in the spring.
She was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Ohio.
She married Leon J. “Lee” Schroeder in 1971. He preceded her in death May 25, 1999.
They owned and operated the Valley Motel in Park Falls from 1975 until his retirement in 1980.
She was curator of the Old Town Hall Museum in Fifield and active for many years in the Price County Historical Society.
A teacher and guidance counselor, she received degrees from the University of Miami in Oxford, OH, the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She is survived by three daughters, Jane (James Dailey) Schroeder of Platteville, Laura (Michael) Brandt of Lakewood, CO, and Sue Schroeder of Alexandria, VA; a granddaughter, a sister, Janet (Chuck) Irish of Copley, OH; and by nieces and a nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
