Betty Jean Lockhart Blake, 79, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 120 West Main Street, Front Royal. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Blake was born September 5, 1939 in Warren County, Virginia to the late Howard and Reba Rose Lockhart.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Blake; and her sister, Roberta "Bobbi" Hibbs.
Betty was a 1957 graduate of Warren County High School in Front Royal, Virginia.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Survivors include her three sons, Denny Blake (Susie) of Front Royal, Jeffrey Blake (Shari) of Front Royal, and Michael Blake of Davenport, Iowa; daughter, Laura Mitchell (Doug) of Berryville, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
