Elizabeth Christine Fowler, a longtime Cushing resident passed away on Sunday morning at Linwood Nursing Home at the age of 72. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, OK. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK.

Elizabeth was born on November 5, 1946 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Clell Ethelbert and Dorothy Mae (Linnet) Lightner. She was born in Sapulpa and raised in California from age 2 years old, moving back to Oklahoma in 1979. Elizabeth graduated from Lompoc High School in 1964 then attended L.I.F.E. Bible College. Elizabeth was married to John William Senior on March 6, 1965 and to this union Lori, Rene’ and Billie were born. She later married William Lewis Fowler on July 24, 1982. She worked for the Circle K in Stroud, Taco Hut in Cushing, Old Town Smokehouse in Cushing retiring in 2003. Elizabeth was saved and baptized as a freshman in high school. Then was a Sunday school member at Park Place Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting recipes, reading, board games, flamingo’s, watching movies and spending time with family.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Lori Bradley and husband Gary Gene of Cushing, Rene’ Senior and partner Terri Matlock of Bartlesville, Billie Cox and husband Glenn Dale of Wagoner, grandchildren Gary W. Bradley, Tiffany Lynn Morlen and husband Brian, Dustin Bradley, Catlin Cox and wife Sara, Kristi Linder and husband Weston, Brittany Cox, special mention: Terry Don Bradley II and Kenneth Livingston, and great grandchildren Conner Morlen, Lilly Morlen, Marlee Morlen, Josslyn Cox and Jameson Cox, brother Albert Paul Lightner and wife Martha, good friends Terry and Robin Bradley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clifford Eugene Lightner, Richard Wayne Lightner and Clell Everett Lightner.
