The Anglican St Paul's register has Dyer buried sometime between 30 October and 2 November 1874, of Pakiri. This is actually Charles Dyer who was executed on 30 October 1874, for the murder of Eliza Battersea.

Charles first arrived in New Zealand on 22 January 1840 as a crew member on the "Aurora".

Philip or Charles as he was commonly known as is connected to my husbands
family.

NOTE: His wife, Eliza Dyer, died at Pakiri on June 9, 1870, aged 52 (may have been a Melbourne connection)
