Eleanor Jean Meredith, 92, Bethany, MO (formerly of New Hampton, MO) passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home.
She was born on April 13, 1926 in Martinsville, Missouri the daughter of Charley Vincent and Wilma Christine (Baker) Snead.
On February 14, 1951 she married Marlin Meredith in Martinsville, MO. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2008.
Eleanor graduated from Martinsville High School and went on to Guard Business School. She enjoyed babysitting and taking care of children as well as quilting and sewing. She was well known for her homemade bread and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Snead; sister, Leah Vandivert and great grandson, Eli Hall.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Marlene Calkins, Kansas City, MO, Eileen (Dennis) Dunlap, Easton, MO, and Christine (Dr. Terry) Hall, Bethany, MO; grandchildren, Marlisa (Kyle) Samp, Rachel Carrillo, Meredith (Conda) Robbins, Michael and Melissa Dunlap; Sarah Hall, Scott Hall, Kimberly (Joshua) Baker, and David (Ashton) Hall; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Justine Vaughn, Pattonsburg, MO and Elaine (Laverne) Meinecke, Ridgeway, MO and sister-in-law, Joannne Snead, Bethany, MO.
