Mrs. Callie Mae Richard Young, 72, of Rt. 2 Ninety Six, died Saturday morning.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mollie Vickery Richard.
She had made her home in Greenwood for the past 50 years and was a member of the South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are her husband George G. Young of the home; three sons, Goerge Edward, Marshall Ray and Douglas H. Young all of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Lois Richard Johnson of Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Scurry of Saluda; two brothers, James Lewis and Will Mack Richard, both of Greenwood; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. J.W. Spain and the Rev. Rufus Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Fred Young, Ronnie and Jimmy Giles, George E. Young Jr., Ray Hinton, Carroll Bledsoe, Jerry Johnson and Donny Richard. Honorary escort will be members of the men's Bible class of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and Horace Lowton, Vincent Price, Bobby Price, Freddie Harrison, John Abney, Jack Lawrence, Dr. E. M. Mobley and W. K. Charles.
The body is at Harley Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The family is at the home of Ray Young on Fairforest Drive and will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 7 to 9.
