Barnwell - Mrs. Katherine Owens Beasley, 92, wife of the late Lucius J. Beasley, died Friday, September 26, 2008, in Barnwell County Nursing Home. Mrs. Beasley was born in the Ashleigh Section of Barnwell County, May 23, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Milledge Aiken and Edna Collins Owens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnwell. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Barnwell with burial to follow in Barnwell Cty. Memory Gardens (Reynolds Road). The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the "Road To Freedom" fund - First Baptist Church, 161 Allen St., Barnwell, SC 29812. Survivors include two sons, Jay (Jan) Beasley of Barnwell, SC, and Lamar Beasley of Aiken, SC; granddaughters, Ashley Benson, Meredith Wilson, Kelley Wood, Rachael Elizabeth Beasley and Claire Kathleen Beasley; sisters, Jennie Lou Croft and Aileen Birt of Blackville, SC.
