Barbara Ruth Gilliam, nee Worley, of Steelville, MO passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 in her home at the age of 87 years. On July 19, 1931, Barbara was born in Davisville, MO to Floyd and Mildred Martin Worley. In May of 1948 at Steelville, MO, she was united in marriage to Albert “Henry” Gilliam and to this union three children were born.
Barbara worked for twenty years as a cook for Steelville Schools and also as the bookkeeper for Gilliam Auto Sales. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Barbara always enjoyed baking for her family and loving her time with all of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Gilliam; son, Roger Gilliam; great-grandson, Garrett Manthey; great-granddaughter, Daniella Gilliam; sisters, Neville (Lee) Smith and Rosalee (Earl) Midyett; and sister-in-law, Judy Worley.
