PORTSMOUTH- RET. COL. Roger A. Morris, 95, passed away January 9, 2019.
He was born on October 22, 1923 to the late Bernie O. and Edna M. Adair Morris.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe O. Morris.
Roger retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 28 years of service. He obtained his PhD and logged over 50,000 flight hours as both a Marine and a private aviation instructor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Martha J. Morris; daughters, Pamela J. Runnels and Marsha C. Morris; grandchildren, Brett Runnels (Stephanie) and Katie Martin; and five great grandchildren.
Per Rogers wishes he will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
