Dale Iver Koski, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, 2 January 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Dale was born in the mining town of Clearcreek, Utah on 7 November 1937, to the late Iver Joel and Phyllis (Sutton) Koski. Dale was the eldest of their three children.

He grew up hiking, hunting and fishing in the beautiful mountains around his home. His first eight years of school were in a one-room schoolhouse environment and, to be able to finish his remaining school years, Dale had to board with other families in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. While there, Dale met the girl who would become his first wife and mother of his children, Charlotte.

Dale finished his education at BYU and went on to teach Industrial Arts and Math in the Murray School District for the next thirty-four years. He maintained a second occupation in HVAC, which enabled Dale to support his family and give them a good education which was so important to him.

One thing Dale was very proud of and enjoyed doing was designing and building his Midvale home.

He also loved duck hunting, fishing and camping.

After losing Charlotte to complications from Diabetes in 1992, he met and married, Sandra Petersen Lindquist Keele in 1994. Their combined family consisted of eight children, twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Dale and Sandra moved from Midvale to Ivins, Utah in November 1998 where they enjoyed many years of camping, traveling, exploring beautiful nearby areas, and spending time with family and friends.

Dale was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He was very instrumental in helping promote and build a Church camp called Star-Point in Scofield, Utah and dearly loved being there and camping there whenever possible.

Dale is remembered as a kind, peaceable and unobtrusive man with a dry wit. He always willingly helped wherever he could and is missed, deeply.

In addition to his parents, Dale was predeceased by his sibling, Kenneth and Sherlee Smith; and his sister-in-law, Rosemarie Koski. Left to cherish his memory are Dale's children, Annette (John) Erickson, Camille (Mark) Johnson and Duane (Darcy) Koski; and his second wife, Sandra.

Dale's family appreciates the caregivers from Integrated Health Care Service Hospice and all who gave him loving care.

Private family visitation from 10 to 11 A.M. and Public visitation from 11 A.M. to Noon, on Tuesday, 8 January 2019, in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah, where Graveside services and dedication will follow.
