LESTER P. HARVEY age 84 formerly of Elmira passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Born February 15, 1934 in Elmira, NY, HE is the son of the late Clifford and Eva Carpenter.
Lester's preceded in death by his first wife, Laura E. (Wright) Harvey; a son Richard Harvey, a sister Beverly Carpenter, brothers Robert Carpenter, Clifford Carpenter Jr. and a grandson Dylan Harvey.
He is survived by his wife Gaylene (Gee); children Bonnie (Nancy) Hunt-Harvey and Ronald (Renee) Harvey; stepdaughter Mary Gee; daughter in law, Claudia Harvey; Siblings, Merle (Gayle) Carpenter, Bill (Vivian) Carpenter, Lillian (AI) Comfort, Myrtle Kinner Baker and Erma Corey; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
