Jacob (Jake) C. Reeves, formerly of Tyler and Conway, AR passed away in Pflugerville, Texas on January 7, 2019, at the age of 93 years. Mr. Reeves was born in Conway, Arkansas on May 16, 1925. He was a World War II veteran, who served as a mechanic on B-24 aircraft in the US Air Force from his enlistment on his 18th birthday in 1943 until his discharge in February 1946. After his military service, Mr. Reeves served as a teacher and coach and coached the Longview Lobo golf team to its first district championship in 1966. He joined the Texas Rehabilitation Commission in 1966 and opened their Tyler, Texas office where he served as Senior Counselor for 25 years until his retirement in 1988. He survived by sons, Scott Reeves (Sherry) of Round Rock, Texas, Randy Reeves (Karen) of Tyler, Texas, and Robin Reeves of Dripping Springs, Texas, grandchildren Brian Reeves, Madison Reeves Culin, Jenna Reeves Lopez, Dylan Reeves and Piper Reeves Rochte, 4 great grandchildren, sister Mary Cook of Conway, Arkansas and John R. Reeves of Longview, Texas. He is preceded in death by wives Mary Lea Reeves and Sue Talley Reeves, grandson Parker Reeves, brothers Maurice Reeves and Howard Reeves and sisters Margaret O'Brien, Helen Denosky, and Hazel Rhea.

There will be a private, family graveside interment service at Rose Hill cemetery in Tyler, followed by a memorial service in Conway, Ark at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to PATH, 402 W. Front St., Tyler, TX 75702 or www.pathhelps.org are requested.
