Capt Harry Abell To Be Buried With Military Honors
Last rites for Harry Abell, 50, of Main Street, Camillus, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday at the B. L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Vernon A. Martin.
Mr. Abell was acting town clerk for the last six years, a contractor, and a member of Post 41, American Legion.
He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army in 1919 with the rank of captain after serving six years. He was wounded during the St Mihiel drive and at another time was reported as dead.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Travis Abell; his father, Herman Abell of Wellsboro, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Davis and Mrs. Ray Siler of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Emma Shaw of Washington, D. C.
Burial with military rites will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
