Mr. Clyde Lewis Webber, 91, 714 Miller St., died Saturday morning, September 26, 1992, at his home. Mr. Webber was born June 27, 1901 in Roanoke, Va., to Robert Burl and Sallie Lewis Webber. He was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church. Mr. Webber attended Washington and Lee University and was the owner of Preacher Webber, Co., a manufacturing representative firm in Winston-Salem. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was very active in enviromental issues in South Carolina. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Lewis Webber of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Billie Webber Shelton of Winston-Salem and Mrs. Theresa Webber Melton of Wilmington; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Doris Morris of Roanoke, Va. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Rev. Stephen D. Sigmon. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 1100-C S. Stratford Rd., Suite 201, Winston-Slem, N.C. 27103.
