Thursday morning at 9 o'clock Dec 28th the death messenger came suddenly to Mr A J Amerson when he was apparently enjoying very good health, and at the time of the death call was seated by the side of his wife in the home opening and reading their mail he having just returned from the mail box near their home. He was about 67 years of age, a pioneer and highly respected citizen of Taylor Co., a successful farmer and the best neighbor. Mr Amerson was a consistent member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, on son, Drew Amerson, and two daughters, Mrs Charles Pitts and Mrs Tiny Gaultney, all of this county.
Funeral services were conducted at Mt Pisgah cemetery Friday, Rev John Locke officiating in an impressive manner.
