Phyllis Marletta Strealy Brashers
May 11, 1939 ~ January 11, 2019

Phyllis Brashers, 79, passed away January 11, 2019 while listening to Willie Nelson and sipping on her favorite drink, Diet Dr. Pepper. As always, Phyllis did it her way. She was born to Mary Lona Bandy Strealy and Frank Marion Strealy on May 11, 1939.

She grew up and attended Joshua schools. She began her banking career in the late 60's and remained in the finance world until her retirement in 2005.

After retirement her favorite days included fishing with John and Abby. Her happiest days were spent at the lake with those two by her side. Her Dallas Cowboys caused her continuous grief, but she was a forever fan. Crossword puzzles, golf and Wheel of Fortune entertained her for hours on end.

Roy Brashears, the love of her life, predeceased her in 1998 and she missed him every day they have been apart. Their reunion will be a joyous one. She was also predeceased by both her parents and younger siblings, Nita Lynn Mickley and Walter Strealy. Survived by her daughter, Tammye; two grand children, brothers, Jim, Jerry and Bill, nieces and nephews and many other extended family members.
