She was born on September 24, 1938 to Rena (Crouch) and Jess Leib in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Sharon married the love of her life Lester Wayne Farrar on August 9, 1969 in Lawrenceville. Lester passed away on February 7, 2001.
Sharon was a Registered Nurse for 27 years and worked at the United Methodist Village for most of her carrier. She loved caring for the residents and they, along with the staff loved her too.
She loved her family and spending time with them listening to music and dancing. Sharon love to be outside with nature, gardening, picking blackberries, mushroom hunting and taking care of chickens. She especially loved to fish and tent camp with her sister.
She is survived by her 2 sisters Violet Parrish of Bridgeport and Maxine Longneccker of Byron, Illinois, her 4 loving grandchildren Edward Farrar of Friendsville, Illinois, Michelle Murray of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Melissa Burdin of Grayville, Illinois and Tony Farrar and wife Mindy of Mt. Carmel, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Rena Leib, her husband Lester Wayne Farrar, 3 brothers Don Leib, Richard Leib, Forest Leib, her 2 sisters Doris Miller and Charlene (Chub) McClaster and 1 grandson.
The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, at Glasser Funeral Home in Bridgeport with Pastor Allan Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 3rd starting at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service
