Jimmy Douglas Jordan, 73, of Summerville, husband of Mary E. Jordan, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his residence.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester rd., Summerville, SC 29485.

Flowers will be accepted.

Jimmy was born on August 4, 1945 in Washington, DC, son of the late John Thomas and Virginia Jordan Taylor. He received his Associated Degree from Trident Technical College in Business Management. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Wood Crafter. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fanatic who enjoyed fishing, football and NASCAR.

Survivors including his wife Mary are: five children: Donavan Jordan of Summerville, Terri Cooper (Mark) of Santee, Gina Balcombe of Wilmington, NC, Christy Sessoms of Wilmington, NC and Charlee Jordan of Wilmington, NC; 11 grandchildren: Dakota, Ridge, Corey, Daniel, Griffin, Brian, Candace, Austin, Taylor, Gabrielle, and Kaitlyn; and many great grandchildren.
