Ricky “Rick” Graves was born on February 18th, 1956 to George Leonard Graves and Betty Isabelle (Rader) Graves. Rick passed away on December 28th, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Betty Graves, as well as his two brothers Dennis and Mike. Rick shared his life with Mary Sparks for the past two decades. Together they were raising their grandson.

Rick’s two children survive him, Heather MeChelle (Hancock) Roberts and husband Bill Roberts, and Ricky Wayne Hancock. His family gifted him three grandchildren as well as seven nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his father George Graves.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and nature in general. Woodworking was a hobby Rick also enjoyed throughout his life. He crafted many pieces that his family and friends will cherish in his memory. Rick shared with those around him and was always willing to lend a hand to friends and neighbors in need. Friends and family will remember and celebrate Rick’s life in simple pleasures just as he did.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Riverview Funeral Home. The family will have a gathering in remembrance of Ricky, on a later date.
