Kathleen Delma King Alford Stanley, a resident of St. Amant, a former resident of Baker and a native of Pine Grove, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at her home. She was 82.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, March 29, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Lavergne King. Burial at Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Pine Grove.

She is survived by two daughters, Arleen Alford Herrington and Eva Dell Stanley, both of Watson; two sons, Patrick Lynn "Pat" Stanley, Greenwell Springs, and Herman Thomas "Tommy" Stanley Jr. and wife Pamela Haynsworth Stanley, St. Amant; 10 grandchildren, Tena, Timmy, Danielle, Rob, Beau, Ty, Lucas, Sheena, Prentiss and Kristen; and seven great-grandchildren, Brandi, Aryel, Jacob, Samantha, Riley, Alex and Bryson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Thomas Stanley Sr. and Prentiss S. Alford Sr.; parents, Lawson and Delma Warner King; a son, Prentiss S. Alford Jr.; son-in-law, Roy Herrington; six sisters, Garnet King, Martha Hope King, Myrtle Carbone, Carmen Fairchild, Irene Sowell and Alberta Stevens; and four brothers, Lawson King Jr., T.C. King, Warner King and Clifton King.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Fairchild, B.L. Fairchild, Keith King, Paul Carbone, Timmy Herrington, Beau Fleniken, Lucas Stanley and Darrel Mayers. Honorary pallbearers are Gayden King and Prentiss Stanley.

She was a member of Harding Street Baptist Church in Baker. The compassion, love and prayers from all nieces, nephews, extended family members and members of Harding Street Baptist Church are greatly appreciated.

Special thanks to all staff members at Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Jacques Saunders, Dr. Ronald Ceruti and Dr. Carl Luikart for their kindness and compassion.
