Lee L. Brooks, 63, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1955, in Brownsville, TN, to Andrews and Jessie Mae (Banks) Brooks, Sr.
He is survived by his son, Dontai Whyte of Minnesota; two sisters, Joyce (Willie) Jarrett of Kansas City, KS and Jennie (Jessie) Reed, Jr. of Decatur, IL; children of his loving companion, Heather Bratcher and Josh Ledbetter; granddaughters, Laquisha and Destinee Whyte; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving companion, Lisa Ledbetter; five brothers and three sisters.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Lee Brooks will be 12 noon Friday, January 18, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, at the funeral home, before the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
