She was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Edward Alfred Burkett and Darlene Massie Burkett. She was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.
Debi was a loving wife, mother of five and a foster parent. She fought a long and courageous battle against cancer and always maintained a strong faith. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends and we are anticipating a reunion in heaven someday.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Jon Wagner of Arden; daughters, Rebekah Sarah Wagner of Asheville and two twin daughters, Danielle and Nichole Burkett of Arden; two sons, Jerry Wagner of Fort Polk, LA and Austin Wagner of Asheville; three grandchildren, Meagan, Karli and Sara Wagner; two brothers, Bruce Burkett of Put-In-Bay, Ohio and Wayne Burkett of Norman, OK.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Bent Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
