Mr. Sharp was born on December 13, 1930 in Olden, Texas to Mack Curtis and Dessie (Hamilton) Sharp. He grew up in the Olden-Ranger area attending school there, graduating from Ranger High School with the Class of 1952. He worked in the oilfield as a foreman running a casing crew. He lived in many different areas but retired in Ranger. He was a WWII Army veteran.
Survivors at the time of his death are his wife, Colleen Sharp of Ranger; one son, Curtis Ray Sharp, Jr. of Ranger; two daughters, Cindy Chamberlin and Elaine Sharp, both of Breckenridge; one brother, Jerry Sharp of Strawn; four sisters, Maxine Norris of Ranger, Clara Houx of Fort Worth, Shirley Gentry of Ranger, and Kathy Herrington of Abilene; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
