Bill was born February 1, 1939 on the family farm west of Homer, NE to Ross and Gladys (Forney) Heck. He was the 12th of 12 children. He attended Homer grade school. William loved spending time with his family, especially his 54 nieces and nephews.
He is survived by sisters, Mary Ann Robertson of Pender, NE and Bonnie Rossiter of South Sioux City, NE; sisters-in-law, Carmen Heck of Bella Vista, AK, and Delores Heck of Rapid City, SD; significant other, Eva (Bear) Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Alvin, Joe, Bob, Bud, Jack, George; three sisters, Genevive Johnsen, Esther O’Neill, Shirley Longwell; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Heck Vassar, Lorraine Heck, Ila Heck Esch; five brothers-in-laws, Martin Johnsen, Tom O’Neill, Merle Longwell, Bob Robertson, Jim Rossiter; two nieces, and five nephews.
