Mrs. Betty Jean McCoy (Riffle), age 56 of the Shannon Community, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Rome, Georgia on September 5, 1955. She attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Riffle; mother, Minnie Lou Pearl Sparks McCoy and brothers, Roy McCoy, and Robert McCoy.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by her children, William Johnson, Tammy Doughty and Robin Haney; siblings, Mery McCoy, Diane McCoy Wilemon, D.C. McCoy, Bill McCoy, and Michael McCoy; several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
According to Mrs. McCoy's wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
