Rose was born May 4, 1951. She attended IHM, Holy Rosary Institute and USL. She was an educator and taught at Holy Rosary and Gethsemane Christian Academy.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana N. Dixon of Lafayette, LA; five sisters, Geraldine Joseph, Rita Arceneaux and Magdalen Dixon, all of Lafayette, LA, Ruby (Paul) Paris and Juanita (Chris) Cormier, both of Texas; one brother, Takuna El Shabazz of Lafayette, LA; three nieces; three nephews; special friend and caregiver, Vickie Hopkins and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary S. Jolivette and Gene C. Dixon; a sister, Dolores Andrews and a brother, Joseph O. Dixon.
