Fredericka ("Riecke") was the daughter of Wilhelm Diedrich and Caroline Augusta [Wienieke] Pleiss of Uslar. The Pleiss family immigrated to Baltimore around 1884-85.
Fredericka married Frederick John Bahr, Jr. [see photo] on June 25, 1894. She was the devoted mother of possibly 11 children: William Frederick [see memorial] [see photo], Richard H. [see memorial], possibly twins who died in infancy, Emma, Alma [see memorial], Frederick Henry [see memorial], Frieda, Carrie, Lillian and Alvin W. [see memorial].
Outliving her husband, Riecke died at 1006 Druid Hill Ave., home of some of her Pleiss brothers. Due to lack of burial funds, she was not buried with her husband, but with her last son, Alvin W. and his wife.
