JULIA ANN "JUDY" PIERCE
April 24, 1939 ~ January 4, 2019

Judy Pierce of Kingston, OK passed away Friday, January 4th, 2019 peacefully at her residence at the age of 79.

She was born on April 24, 1939 in Effingham, Illinois to Ernest James Johnson and Joyce Jean (Phipps) Johnson.

Judy grew up in Fox, Oklahoma. She attended Fox High School and was a drum major, twirler, and Homecoming Queen. Judy attended and graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a teaching degree.

Judy spent 32 years as a teacher for Perryton Independent School District. Judy loved teaching and treated each and every student special. Judy held many positions at Perryton Junior High during her years of service. Some of her most loved positions were; cheer leader sponsor, English teacher, and counselor.

Judy loved to plan and host teacher retirement parties and fundraisers for Perryton High School. She was the biggest supporter and number one fan of her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite past times was clogging and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jo Bob and Ernest Johnson, and a brother, Larry Joe Johnson.

Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Kim Parker and Kam Pierce;

Grandchildren, Chay Parker and Bailey Pierce;

Great grandchild Chayse Parker;

Brother, J Paul Johnson; niece, Paula Stewart and husband Ricky; nephew, J Brad Johnson and wife Amy and Cody Johnson and wife Lana; great nieces and nephews include; Jeremy and Jessica Stewart, Bradley and Braden Johnson, Cannen and Chanlie Johnson.

Services will be held for Judy at 5pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant: 4900 W US HWY 70 Durant, OK.

In lieu of flowers you can make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org

Judy’s wishes were to be cremated and set free at Lake Texoma. A celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
